Terms and Conditions Of Sale

I can confirm I have understood all the details regarding the product and installation. I will accept the products to be installed at the fitter’s discretion unless otherwise stated.

I understand that it is not possible to inspect the quality of the paint, plaster, or tiles, which may flake, chip, or crack during the drilling process. I acknowledge that you cannot see behind the drilling area, and any damage caused by hitting hidden pipes or wires will be my responsibility. I agree that the products will be made according to my specifications, unless otherwise noted in the accompanying notes.

Order Accuracy and Cancellation

It is my responsibility to ensure that all the details provided are correct before signing below. I understand that orders cannot be cancelled or amended once placed.

Presence during Fitting

I agree to be present on the day of fitting to sign off on the work carried out. If I am unable to be present during the fitting, I accept that the installation quality will be deemed satisfactory without recourse for redress.

Warranty

Our Signature blinds and curtains are backed by a lifetime warranty. Look for the word “Signature” in the product name to identify these items. To avail the warranty service, the purchaser must return the damaged blind, along with the invoice or original sales receipt, to the store of purchase. Alternatively, our home repair service is included free of charge for one year, with call-out charges applicable thereafter.

To qualify for the lifetime guarantee, product registration must be completed online at www.blindtex.co.uk within 30 days of ordering.

All other custom-made blinds and curtains are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials, mechanisms (cord locks and tilt gears), and components (brackets, wands, caps, etc.) for the first year. Sewing is a combination of hand and machine work, stitching and hemlines will never be perfectly straight as a result.

Motors are covered by manufacturers’ warranties: Somfy – 5 years for wired and battery motors from the date of purchase; Blindtex – 5 years for wired motors, 2 years for battery motors from the date of purchase.

Shutters are guaranteed for three years against cracking, splitting, and shrinkage under normal conditions of use. Due to the nature of paint, dye, or stain, we cannot guarantee an exact colour and finish reproduction, with variations of -10% to +10% compared to samples or custom colours. Natural timber characteristics may also lead to variations in shades and textures.

Warranty for faux wood blinds will be void if they are not kept in an air-conditioned environment below 40°C.

Lighting conditions may affect the appearance of colour finishes. Products fitted in high-moisture areas like bathrooms, kitchens, or rooms with direct water contact, including rain damage, are not guaranteed unless the appropriate product has been specified.

Balance Due and Payment

I agree to settle the balance due either before or at the time of installation. Failure to make the full payment entitles you to remove the goods until all outstanding debts are settled.

Additional charges will be incurred for non-settlement on the day of final installation.

Items cannot be left on-site without the receipt of the balance payment. In case of non-payment or missed appointment requiring a refit or revisit, there will be a charge to cover our expenses.

Please note that refunds on made-to-measure products are not possible due to their bespoke nature, tailored to fit your windows in the colour of your choice. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Retention of Goods

Please be aware that the goods remain the property of the company until the total amount stated on the invoice is paid in full.

Fitting Date and Confirmation

The approximate fitting date provided may be subject to change due to occasional late delivery from our suppliers or unforeseen high demand on production. You will be asked to sign an acceptance confirming the satisfactory installation.

In the absence of a signature, we will consider the installation to have been carried out to your satisfaction.

Remedial Work

In the rare circumstance that the shutters or blinds, etc., do not fit due to a measurement issue or manufacturing defect, we will promptly replace the product or the affected part within the same time frame as the original order.
