Living in this dusty climate, everything needs cleaning a little more often than usual! Whether you have blinds, curtains or shutters here are a few tips on how to look after your new look.
Roller, Vertical, Panel, Romex Blinds
Dust when required with a clean, dry cloth. Else, they can be vacuumed using an upholstery attachment. If stained, use a damp cloth with no cleaning products (only on certain fabrics) check with our customer service team for more information.
Faux Wood & Aluminium Venetian Blinds
Simply clean with a duster or damp cloth. If they are very dirty they can be cleaned with household products, however, ensure these are mild and do not contain bleach. Be careful whilst cleaning to not apply too much pressure causing the slats to kink.
Roman Blinds
Roman blinds can be vacuumed using an upholstery attachment, any marks can be wiped with a damp cloth. Blinds can be dry cleaned apart from those with blackout lining. To clean the headrail, simply pull the fabric away from the headrail (this is attached with a velcro strip).
Curtains
We do not recommend dry-cleaning as some fabrics may shrink. We would recommend to clean using a warm damp cloth and to remove dust using a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment.
Honeycomb
Honeycomb blinds are made from delicate material and so need to be treated with care. Use a dry, clean duster and ensure you do not press too hard and damage the pleats, alternatively if you have a hairdryer on hand that is great to blow off any dust!
Shutters
To protect your shutters and to keep them looking fresh all year round use a dry, clean lint-free cloth. A regular clean will keep the dust away and maintain a classic look throughout the seasons.
